About Audrey's Wish
Audrey Myrden, pictured with her family, has recently been diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme – a terminal brain tumour and is now undergoing aggressive radiation and chemotherapy for the ultimate battle of her life.
Audrey’s greatest wish is to ensure her boys are well provided for so that her husband Barry can continue to work and have resources to assist him with their care. A previous survivor of breast cancer, Audrey was ineligible for life insurance.
You can help us grant Audrey's wish by:
- Sponsoring the Tex Racing Team as they race in a field of 2500 riders from day to night and back to daylight in the 2009 Scott 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships - Canberra, 12noon 10th - 12 noon 11th October.
Our team of 10 has dropped to 7, but we are committed and the aim is still the same...to ride as many k's as possible in 24 hours to raise as many $'s as possible for Audrey's Wish.
We are aiming to complete 24 laps in 24 hours, which is almost 400k's or around 50k's per rider
The track looks like it will be very wet and very cold, but we are ready to ride what ever the weather for a very worthy cause!
