DATA CENTRE COOLING
Course Code: DCC Duration: 1 Day
Level: 500, BTEC Level 5
BICSI CEC Value: 6 RCDD
Course Fees: $850 + GST
Course Overview
On average, existing computer rooms and data centres have around twice as much cooling as they require but many of them are facing problems due to hot spots.
Blade servers and networking equipment now mean that the capacity that used to fill a room can now be contained in a single rack which creates extreme power and heat problems.
More cooling plant requires more electrical power to drive it, yet supply companies can not always guarantee it and the concerrn over Carbon-Footprint is focusing companies on reducing their power use.
